Cruise ship youth staff with languages are responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of a range of sports and activities to a group children aged between 7 and 16 years including both English and non-English speaking children.  The sports and activity sessions will include a wide variety of activities including everything from football and tennis to arts and craft, team building activities and drama games.

Cruise ship youth staff also have involvement with other duties on board the cruise ship such as embarkation and disembarkation, muster station duties, welcome on board shows and meeting and greeting children and parents.  

Cruise Ship Youth Staff - Skills Match 

• Ideal candidates will be educated or working towards a HND/degree in a childcare related or hold at least two NGB sports coaching qualifications and with at least two years of sports coaching experience with children aged 4-17 years.


• Candidates muct be 21 years of age or over.


• Candidates must be able to speak at least one language other than English fluently, Spanish, German and Russian especially will be favourably viewed


• Experience of working with children of all ages is essential, along with a high level of customer service, motivation, commitment and excellent organisational skills.


• Applicants with a C1D visa are desirable.


• Experience of working at sea is favourably viewed but not essential.

• Cruise ship youth staff are responsible for planning, preparing and delivering a range of sports and activities for groups of children aged between 4 and 17.


• Cruise ship youth staff will assist with on board duties including embarkation/disembarkation, muster station, welcome shows, greeting parents.


• Welcome and get to know children in your group, ensuring that their enjoyment is your prime concern. Care for and encourage the children on board this luxury cruise ship and integrate any unhappy children into the group activities.


• Ensure the health and safety of children in your care.
