About the role
Your main duties will centre around the yachts, base and ports of call. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements.
At the beginning of the season you will be required to carry out the fleet refit where you will prepare the yachts for the season, which will include painting, cleaning and repairs.
In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be required to carry out the following:
Flotilla
Proactive daily maintenance and checks, assist with the general running of flotilla, organisation of group meals, BBQ's and punch parties and socialising with guests.
Base
You will be responsible for engine engine rebuilds, assisting with general running of base, call outs and support of the clients and flotilla crew
In General
You will be required to carry out turnaround service checks and yacht preparation, brief the clients on boats mechanical systems and safety equipment, engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes and maintenance of outboards for tenders.
Emergency call outs for breakdowns on any of the fleet. You will be responsible for the safety of all clients including safety briefings and assist clients with any queries they may have.
About you
Your attributes
You will have experience of maintaining diesel engines and have a working knowledge of 12V DC electrical systems. You will be practically minded and have the ability to solve problems. You will have experience in a customer focused environment and be social able and have a positive personality.
