About the role


Your main duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call.  Working hours vary and you must be flexible to cover operational requirements. 


In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following duties:


Flotilla



  • Presentation and maintenance of yachts

  • Full first day briefing to the entire flotilla

  • Safety of all clients throughout the week

  • Daily briefings to clients on route and weather information

  • Safe Mooring of all yachts each day

  • Assisting the lead crew with all aspects of running the flotilla and socialising with guests


Bareboat



  • Yacht preparation and cleaning

  • Deliveries, call outs and maintenance

  • Skippering charters of upto 9 clients at a time

  • Base support when not on charter


General



  • All yacht preparation on turnaround days

  • Briefings

  • Sharing knowledge of local area

  • Advising on sailing questions

  • Assisting with the organisation of group meals, BBQ's and punch parties

  • Any other duties as directed by the Base Manager


About you


Your attributes



  • RYA Offshore Yacht Master/Coastal Skipper with Commercial Endorsement or equivalent

  • Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions

  • Experience in a customer focused environment

  • Socialable and positive personality

  • Strong organisational skills
